Training within projects
We provide training courses to ensure that users have the necessary expertise to use the new tools and enable self-service BI. These training courses are designed to familiarize users with the basics and functions of the visualization tools in a practical way and enable them to perform independent analyses. The training courses are conducted by Robert Buk. As a lecturer, he has been offering training courses on precisely these topics together with the Haufe Academy for over 6 years.
Standalone trainings
Power BI Desktop and Power BI (web) service enable you to complete controlling tasks more efficiently and quickly. For example, you can automatically import and clean data from Excel, CSV files, SQL databases, etc. in order to evaluate it in the desired form. Power BI's visuals allow you to present data in meaningful reports, even with external charts. The reports can be easily made available to employees in the company and other organizations in the Power BI (web) service.
In this seminar, controllers and specialists responsible for data processing will learn the basics and best practices of data modeling with Power BI and Excel. The goal is to efficiently integrate data from various sources and model it cleanly in order to create the basis for sound analyses and reports. With the help of practical exercises and concrete case studies, you will learn how to optimize your data structure and increase the performance of your reports using the star schema and other models.
Without visualization, it is difficult to derive insights from data sets, even though they provide important decision-making information. In this training, you will learn how to use Power BI to create dashboards and visualizations for communicating and presenting correlations and monitoring KPIs. The use of AI-supported analysis to identify and visually highlight data patterns and anomalies will support your future efficiency, as will natural language processing for the automated creation of charts and dashboards.
Predictive analytics is essential for deriving valid forecasts from data and making informed decisions. This seminar provides you with practical knowledge of the methodological basics and the most important methods of machine learning and modern AI technologies. You will learn how to use AI methods such as deep learning, neural networks, and reinforcement learning in a targeted manner to better understand complex relationships and develop predictive models. The focus is on practical application using concrete use cases and exercises with the “Knime” tool.
What are the drivers of success? This seminar teaches the basics of driver-based corporate planning. It shows how drivers are used in strategic and integrated corporate planning to quickly and reliably gain insights into relevant cause-and-effect chains. It also covers how driver logic is visualized using IBCS® standards and how forecasts are validated. Finally, it provides an outlook on AI-supported simulations and scenario analyses for optimized planning.
Digital transformation is profoundly changing controlling: artificial intelligence (AI) and modern digital technologies enable extensive automation and intelligent, efficient corporate management. This seminar provides practical examples of how AI-based applications and digital business models are advancing controlling and opening up new potential. The focus is on AI-supported forecasts, anomaly detection, automated reporting, practical applications, and use case development.
Big data, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence (AI) in particular are opening up new possibilities for reporting and data analysis. Today's companies have access to immense amounts of data—both structured and unstructured—from a wide variety of sources. This seminar teaches you how to use modern IT technologies and AI-based methods such as natural language generation (NLG), predictive analytics, and intelligent data visualization to efficiently automate your reporting processes, better understand correlations, and thereby achieve greater added value.

Whether it's reports, dashboards, or spreadsheets, as an assistant, you are often the first point of contact when it comes to data preparation. In this practical seminar, you will learn how to confidently organize numbers and information, recognize connections, and prepare results in such a way that your management can quickly make the right decisions. With simple tools and methods, you will become a data professional at your team's side. You will also receive valuable expert tips on data visualization and the use of AI from our trainer Robert Buk.
The powerful Tableau tool is used for processing and presenting analyses. From the basics, such as data sources, filters, data preparation, formulas, and calculations, to the creation of visualizations and dashboards, this course covers the important practical knowledge required for use in controlling. In this training, the modern data visualization tool is introduced, and participants actively work and practice with Tableau, gaining practical experience in performing innovative analyses and creating interactive dashboards.
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) opens up new ways for controlling departments to efficiently automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks. In conjunction with artificial intelligence (AI), robots (“bots”) become even more powerful, as they can not only perform standardized tasks, but also optimize complex processes through AI-based decision support. This seminar provides a thorough introduction to RPA and AI, presents practical applications in controlling, and explains how you can successfully integrate and manage both technologies.
Change and innovation are omnipresent, making continuous and sustainable employee development of central importance. This is where practical coaching comes in, as it is an effective method for promoting and shaping individual learning and development processes. Practical coaching in data science supports you in optimizing the transfer of practical knowledge to the corporate context and establishing the role of the data scientist in your working environment. It helps you to build on the topics covered in the seminar in a practical way and enables you to exchange individual ideas and tips with the coach in a virtual 1:1 space. This coaching approach does not involve knowledge transfer or management consulting. The primary focus is on analyzing your role as a data scientist together with the coach and boosting your confidence in this area. Practical coaching in data science addresses precisely this dilemma: it brings together your data ideas and knowledge from your specialist areas with our experts' experience in successfully implementing data projects.
In a business world currently being transformed by generative AI, data-driven decisions, detailed analyses, and data-supported forecasts are indispensable. Companies across all industries need experts who can handle complex data sets and perform in-depth analyses using machine learning algorithms. Would you like to deepen your basic knowledge of data science and become a professional in this sought-after field? This course will help you do just that! It offers you comprehensive training to master the challenges of data analysis while understanding and utilizing the fundamentals of artificial intelligence. You will delve deep into business understanding and gain practical experience through numerous exercise projects. And best of all, you don't need any programming skills!
